Are you between 18-24 years old? From Tower Hamlets and of Somali background?
Numbi Arts is recruiting young people for exciting new PAID opportunities to gain real-life experiences and training in the arts and heritage sector!
Barbaarinta Barbaarta is a youth leadership education and work skills programme that centres young people as co-curators. You have the freedom to design a bespoke curriculum that meets your ambitions and aspirations, guided by mentorship from Somali professionals as well as support from Numbi’s partner organisations.
You will also receive training to give peer mentoring to younger Somali people as well as co-create a Somali Young People’s Forum in Tower Hamlets, as a platform to have your voice heard and needs addressed in the borough.
Our programme runs from January to September 2022 and includes weekly activities, arts workshops, history and cultural talks, trips and events, including the opportunity to design and host our annual NumbiFest!
