Numbi Arts is recruiting young people for exciting new opportunities to gain real-life experiences and training in the arts and heritage sector!
Barbaarinta Barbaarta is a youth leadership education and developmeant programme that centres young people as co-curators. You have the freedom to design a bespoke curriculum that meets your ambitions and aspirations, guided by mentorship from Somali professionals as well as support from Numbi’s partner organisations
You will also receive training to in turn provide peer mentoring to younger Somali people as well as co-create a Somali Young People’s Forum in Tower Hamlets, as a platform to have your voice heard and needs addressed in the borough. Sign up to receive more details. 
We are continuing our programme into 2026 starting September 2025 until July 2026. Take part in weekly activities, explore your creativity and culture, with our open accses youth club. We offer a safe, welcoming space to learn, create, and grow- through arts workshops, events, trips, outdoor fun and more. See our autumn timetable We celebrate heritage, build community, and promote a strong message of zero tolerance to violence and hate. All during term time only. You will have the opportunity to gain:

Activities
All activities are free for Tower Hamlets young people. If you are under 18 your parent or guardian will need to fill in the consent form.
